Winslow & FioramontiBoutique Travel Advisory

Italy, chosen with care

We are travel advisors who live in Italy. We plan and book the hotels, tables, cellar visits and drivers for couples, honeymooners, friends and families of every generation: Italy first, then the rest of Europe and parts of Southeast Asia.

Each recommendation says how we know it: Tested Seen Recommended by Suggested

How we know

Every hotel, table and cellar carries a label

Three notes as they appear in our plans. Suggested means researched and not yet tried, and we say so.

Venice

Hotel Flora

Tested (December 2025)

Ask for a high floor over the courtyard. The lounge is the reason to stay.

Lake Maggiore

Castello Dal Pozzo

Tested (October 2026)

Close to Milan Malpensa, for the last night before a flight home. The castle has no elevator, and families have more room in the Palazzo.

Venice

Novecento

Suggested

The Flora family’s nine room hotel, three minutes away. It has since been renovated, and it is where we will stay next.

Tested: we did it ourselves. Seen: we went in, or ate or drank there. Recommended by: a source we name. Suggested: our own research. How we label

From one of our plans

A day in the Langhe, as you would receive it

Day 3 · The Langhe

10:30

Oddero, La Morra Tested (October 2026)

A seventh generation Barolo house of about 35 hectares that buys no grapes. October weekends are full, so we book a weekday.

Afternoon

Relais Villa d’Amelia, Benevello Tested (October 2026)

Time to rest at the hotel, on the ridge about 20 minutes above Alba.

Evening

Osteria dell’Unione, Treiso Tested (October 2026)

Simple, excellent food and warm service. The plaque by the door says Slow Food was conceived here. It takes bookings by telephone, and we make them.

A driver for the cellar days, so that you can both taste.

From our six night plan for the Langhe and Lake Maggiore, built on our own week in October 2026. Your plan comes the same way, day by day, with every booking in it.

Who we are

Teri Fioramonti and Thomas Winslow

Teri studied economics, worked as a financial analyst and lived in China and Vietnam. Her eye for understated luxury is why our plans favor calm rooms and time to rest. Thomas came to travel through the kitchen and the cellar: Chez Panisse, the Culinary Institute of America, the 2011 harvest at Château Coutet and hotel sommelier work in Dubai.

Today we live in a stone farmhouse in Abruzzo with 92 olive trees, and we spend most of our working days exploring Italy.
